"Reaching Colombia for Christ"
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore GO and make disciples of all nations, BAPTIZING them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and TEACHING them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
The Great Commission stresses three actions that must be taken by every believer: GO, BAPTIZE and TEACH. Each of ABM’s mission trips seek to fulfill the commands of the Great Commission. As described on the SPIRITUAL PAGE, as ABM goes it shares the good news of salvation found only in Jesus Christ and for those who believe, baptism is offered. But bringing people to Christ is only part of meeting the Great Commission. ABM believes once a person becomes a Believer he needs to understand what it means to be a christian both in the way he lives his life and to his faithfulness in service. ABM believes the church is God’s instrument to disciple, train, equip and send people to carry out the Great Commandment.
ABM believes the greatest NEED in Colombia is discipleship training.
To meet this NEED, ABM offers discipleship training on each of its mission trips. This training may take many different forms; men and women small group discussions, evangelism training seminars on “How to share your faith”; Pastor Conferences featuring distinguished Biblical Speakers and for those individuals desiring a deeper dive, we partner with The Timothy Initiative (‘TTI”) to provide college level seminary training. TTI is an international church planting organization which was established with the purpose to train and equip “Timothy’s”(Pastors/Church Planters). TTI specifically targets church planters who lack the means and/or availability to receive a balanced Biblical and theological training throughout Asia, Africa and the Americas’. Each church planter trained is expected to plant at least one multiplying and reproducing church. Pastor David Nelms, the Founder and President of TTI, serves on ABM’s Board of Directors. AMB and TTI have partnered together to train 12 directors and open 4 pastor schools in Colombia.
